Opua Marine Refits is the first marine organisation in New Zealand to offer a service commitment and proceedure to you the customer.

In the very unlikely event of unsatisfactory sales or service in our organisation, the customer involved will explain their concerns and views to an independent representative of Opua Marine Refits. He or she will then work with both parties to find an agreeable solution.

OpenOcean WaterMakers are located in the Bay of Islands New Zealand, and have been building Watermakers for five years. We build Engine Drive, Electric 230/110 volt or Custom units. Our Watermakers are low cost, simple, and produce maximum fresh water in minimal running times. They were designed by cruisers who were fed up with low out-put 12 volt propriety units that were constantly breaking down.

Nothing was more frustrating than waiting for expensive parts from over seas in a third world country and the hassle of getting them through customs and installing them in your not to old Watermaker!! We reckoned that if you built a simple, low cost unit that had no circuit boards, fancy testing systems and electric solenoids you would have a very reliable unit.

Our Watermakers have only two valves and one pressure gauge to operate and the result has been the most reliable high out-put system available. WARRANTY 12 months from date of installation. Membrane must run oil and silt free.
